Daughters of Royalty

Proverbs 18:21 states that "our tongues have the power of life and death." Our generation is all about spreading light and positivity but there is so much hatred being shared over the internet. Speak with purpose and positivity. We are to promote light as children of God. With all that has been going on around the world and with the upcoming election, we are seeing so much chaos, hatred, and divide in the country – even among those claiming to be followers of Christ. As Christians, we are to be vigilant about what the Holy Spirit is leading us to do; not just go with the motions or what the left or right political parties suggest we do. Jesus was a peacemaker; He taught that the blessed are the peacemakers.

Sarah and Abraham were an interesting couple. They were a cute couple, faithful to the Lord. God, pleased with them, promised to bless them with the biggest promise practically ever made to mankind (especially at that time). It was not until recently that I realized that Sarah conceived Isaac through faith. She was an old, barren, woman, who laughed at God when He told her she would carry a child. It made me wonder how this unimaginable fiction of a plot twisted into her reality of childbirth. Her situation was literally a story of fiction turned into reality. Sure, all sorts of “impossible” stuff takes place in the bible. So how does this apply to our faith life today?

David praises the Lord saying, “You have given him dominion over the works of your hands; you have put all things under his feet,” in Psalm 8:6. While God is the King, we are co-laborers with Him as His Sons and Daughters. This is the reality of our relationship with Him. We are to carry out our calling, the works which He designed for us to do, the greater things in store for us. However, this takes guts. Understanding the mandate on our hands is crucial as this is no ordinary assignment. It is the kind of thing only you can do because nobody else was created like you kind of duty. In other words, if you do not do it, nobody else will.

Our God is a God who sometimes uses silence as a strategy to build our faith. We may feel like He is silent, hiding His face, distant, or that our current situation is just the opposite of the promises we have got. Despite these feelings, trusting Him and His power even in the valley of dry bones and in the wilderness has been proven to elevate our faith. And of course the One who allows silence, equips us and anoints us with a specific grace for the season too.

God’s answer for you is definitely not the same as the next person who reads this and that is perfectly okay! Your answer will be unique to only you, so there is no need to complain or compare when God has something different for you than He has for them.The truth of the matter is: The will of God has always been what you never knew you have always wanted. So let us look to the Kingdom Perspective, knowing that everything works out beautifully in God's perfect timing.

Ambassadors carry out their mission by branding themselves for the benefit of the society (hopefully) and aim to generate their positivity to the community its targeting. Ultimately, the ambassador's goal is not to replicate the people he or she is being sent to, but rather to uphold the values of the people sending the ambassador. It is all about representation.

Even when we want to be self-sufficient, good faith-warrior Christians, there are times when we do not need to do all the fighting. Here is where we are at complete childlike faith. Trusting in Him completely - to do as He pleases and all we do it wait for Him to complete writing our story. This week, let us be as intentional as we can in handing over our trust to Him. He writes our stories better than we could ourselves. Just as a baby trusts her daddy to carry her to her best course of life. God, Our Father, knows our destiny, our purpose, and is carrying us for His glory.

When we look deeper into these stories and the lives of these characters, we realize that the trials and difficulties they underwent took them to destinations they couldn’t have reached on their own. The plans and purposes God had on their lives were nothing that could be taken away by the plans of the enemy.

There are BIG dreams He wants to put inside of you if you would only let him think it up for you. There are things He can only ask his children to carry out, because He knows the potential inside of you. Our personal dream and imagination capacity is nothing compared to what He has in store for us. So we limit ourselves to our little check boxes and lists, while there is so much more awaiting us – if we only let him.
