Kingdom Perspective

We are now in the last quarter of 2020! What a year this has been so far. When I recently took a poll of how people were doing, I got a myriad of answers all pointing in different directions and life altering situations for each person; some were exciting and some not so much. One thing was clear - everyone seemed to be struggling to overcome this season of unexpected hindrances. So let us look to the Kingdom Perspective, knowing that everything works out beautifully in God's perfect timing.

Let us take a moment to ask God now, in this moment, what does God want of me?

  1. What do I do?
  2. What is my calling?
  3. What is my divine purpose?

God’s answer for you is definitely not the same as the next person who reads this and that is perfectly okay! Your answer will be unique to only you, so there is no need to complain or compare when God has something different for you than He has for them.

The truth of the matter is: The will of God has always been what you never knew you have always wanted.

Read that again! That is because God, the Creator of this entire universe also created us. So, He knows our hearts, our desires, and our passions (even when we haven’t even realized it yet). Asking him and waiting on his response is somehow not as common or second-nature as it should be. However, practicing communication with God is one of the most incredible realities that Christianity provides since the veil was torn on resurrection Sunday. This gave us free and complete access to the Kingdom of God – so we should try practicing this daily.

Matthew 6:33, says to “seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you.” This verse declares that the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness are our end of the deal (through Him) and “all these things” are an afterthought. Sometimes we live for the afterthought than we live for the daily adventure with Jesus. However, Kingdom identity is all about how we individually seek Him and discovery what makes us a child of God

In 1st John 3:12, we "see what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him. Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. All who have this hope in him purify themselves, just as he is pure."

This is the most powerful truth about ourselves that we often overlook. If we could understand what this actually means, we would not be living the same lives and praying the same prayers anymore. It is what renews you and gives your life true meaning. It gives you direction and your potential is revealed. I mean, what good is it to have Kingdom blood running through your veins but not know it or what to do with it!? Unfortunately, most Christians do not understand the depth of this revelation – that you are a child of God – a Son or Daughter of the King of Kings. That you were born as royalty to take on Kingdom responsibility. To be of your Father's business! When you seek His Kingdom, you find that you are a part of it. Your identity then calls you to live according to those Kingdom standards. This is where you seek His righteousness and fulfill your destiny as a child of God living with the Kingdom Perspective.
